They say that Aston Martin designers are the laziest designers ever!
How could you make a new good looking design when your old design is already "perfect"?
That's why the rapide isn't a big redesigned car, except of the headlights wich are new for Aston Martin.
This rapide is a 4 door luxury supercar with 4 seats. What Aston Martin has done to make this car is just stretching the DB9 and voila!
The performance of this car are...good. It has 470hp coming out of a 6.0 liter V12 engine. With it's rear mounted 6-speed automatic this car goes from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of a good 184 mph.
The most important thing about this car are the rear seats wich are large enough for a six year old child. The rear seats are way too small and don't give enough comfort for an adult. The leg room is too small and that's the only big reason why the rear seats are uncomfy. If they had put the rear seats more to the back there is no head room anymore...
So I think Aston Martin did design the car first and than they have put the rear seats in it. And that's why they didn't raise the roof for the head room, because it was ugly....that's my theory.
Anyways you can get this Aston Martin on your drive for just $200 000.
